IPC Credit Card

Motion Design
12/25–01/26 (5 weeks)

I created a commercial to advertise the fictional fintech company IPC, which specializes in the production of innovative credit cards. This motion piece was submitted as part of a group business simulation I took part in for the Marketing Development Program at Dell Technologies.

The commercial sends a clear message through it’s typographic language underscored with a personable touch through hand-drawn elements and quirky motion.

Initial animation test

I narrowed my vision through sketches, storyboards, and motion experiments.

During the ideation phase, I documented my initial ideas through a sketchy, lo-fi storyboard. I leaned into a typogrpahic-heavy approach because not only was it a clean, straightforward means to get our message across, it was also the most efficient method given our time constraints. Once I got a good idea of the motion and flow of the piece, I created a hi-fi storyboard in addition to an animation test for my group members to better visual the intended product and give informed feedback.

In addition to the motion, I mixed the voiceover and accompanying music.

After one of my group members sent over the voiceover, I mixed it in Adobe Audition removing background noises and pops. I chose the background music to match the light-hearted nature of the motion and visuals and added it to the track.
